Recently my faith has been tested. You see, when God gives you something you want, you won’t see the end product straight away. God doesn’t work like that. Instead, when you ask Him, you’ll receive a seed.
I always say this; God doesn’t work with coercion. When the Lord created us, he gave us free will, that is how Eve was able to eat from the tree in the first place. The same concept goes with serving the Him. He’s given us His son, and it is by our will that we should follow Him.
You see, God taught me a lesson this week: Don’t underestimate the power in a seed. A seed can produce many fruit and within those fruits, contain many seeds where you can’t tell how many fruits and seeds will come from them. This ‘immediate gratification’ generation can make us forget the power in a blessing that God can give us. When God blesses you, He blesses your generations, people who will come after you.
That is love.
The only thing that is required from you is to nurture that seed, help it to grow by producing the right soil and environment for it. Feed yourself with the word, talk to God and testify what He has done for you.
6 Don’t worry about anything, but in all your prayers ask God for what you need, always asking him with a thankful heart. 7 And God’s peace, which is far beyond human understanding, will keep your hearts and minds safe in union with Christ Jesus.
All you need is faith.
