I admit it. I’m a product junkie :(. However, I’ve added an AMAZING conditioner to my stash of half-finished conditioners and I’ve decided to review it. As soon as I saw ‘new’ under the name of the product, I decided to pick it up and to be honest with you, I’ve never seen the famous TRESemme naturals conditioner in store before and so I thought I’d give it a go.
In addition to the TRESemme vibrant naturals conditioner being silicone free, it also has organic coconut and jojoba oil 🙂
I thought I’d give the conditioner a run for its money. My hair was so dry and was desperate for moisture, (I wash my hair with shampoo every two weeks and moisturize with leave-in conditioner and oil in between washes) however after two weeks of neglect due to my assignment deadlines, I thought this would be the perfect time to see how the product works.
I looked a hot mess! If this conditioner could fix my hair in this state, I’d never let go (literally).
So I cleansed my hair with the TRESemme Luxurious Moisture shampoo in sections (which I must say is very stripping, but I like having squeaky clean hair). I rinsed out the shampoo and then lathered my hair with the conditioner. the first thing I noticed was the smell. It was such a neutral, clean smell which I love and it stayed in my hair for a couple of days after I had washed it out.
The number one thing on my list for a good conditioner is whether the product has good slip. This product has great slip! My hair was detangled in half the time it normally takes to finger detangle my hair, and I didn’t have to use half of the bottle to achieve this (yay to saving money!). After detangling, I left the conditioner in my hair for half an hour and washed out the product.
My hair was so soft! The stripped feeling from the shampoo had vanished and I was left with bouncy, shiny, soft and moisturized hair. I then flat twisted my hair (damp) with Cantu shea butter, raw shea butter and my oil mix (castor oil, extra virgin olive oil, coconut oil, peppermint oil) and I was left with this:
But it was soon followed by shrinkage *sigh*. I’ve been natural for almost six years and it’s still difficult to accept…
Have you tried this product? what do you think of it?
